As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
1.Topic: Any focus area of the IEEE Power Electronics Society, including but not limited to control in power electronics, discrete and integrated semiconductors, EMI/EMC, high power converters, reliability and diagnostics, lighting applications, low power converters, passive components and materials, power electronics in drives, power quality, and utility applications, renewable energy, and wireless power transfer.
2.Content: Video must include a brief introduction of the instructor, main technical content, and summary/conclusion at the end. Segments on the video’s scope and necessary background information are encouraged but not required. The video introduction sequence, title screen, and credits will be provided after acceptance, so they do not need to be included in the initial submission.
3.Proper Acknowledgment: The use of copyrighted material and plagiarism must be avoided (see: https://www.ieee.org/publications/rights/plagiarism/id-plagiarism.html). The submitted video must include proper citations/references to copyrighted materials such as text and figures, including those of the author(s). It is the submitter’s responsibility to resolve any copyright issues before submission.
4.Purpose: The video’s purpose must be purely educational and not commercial in nature. The use of commercial tools, equipment, software is acceptable but videos clearly promoting a company or product will not be accepted.
5.Layout: Video should include a live recording where the instructor appears on the screen at least during the instructor introduction. The only voice in a PowerPoint presentation is not recommended. Videos including demonstrations or utilizing innovative learning tools are accepted.
6.Length: (excluding intro and outro, which is provided by the committee)
Short-Length: upto 18 minutes (preferred format)
Medium-Length: upto 43 minutes
Long-Length: 43 minutes and more
7.File Format: Video must be in MP4 format and file size should not exceed 512 MB.
8.Quality: Video is at least in Standard Definition (SD) or the preferred High Definition (HD) and MP4 format.
9.Language: All videos must be in English.
